How To Build A Patio with Reclaimed Brick

Spring is still some way off, but it is still worth planning what you are going to do in the garden ready for the summer. A new patio may be one of the things you’ll be considering for next year and our reclaimed bricks would be ideal for this kind of project.

If you want to see yourself hosting some atmospheric summer barbeques and having fun with the family a patio one of the cheapest and easiest ways to create that fun space in your garden is with reclaimed brick.

Choosing reclaimed brick means you will not only be saving on cost but also doing your bit for the environment because you reusing something that has already been manufactured years ago.

Reclaimed bricks can be used to create innovative patterns that will have your patio looking different from those belonging to your neighbours.

If you are intending to use reclaimed brick for your patio there are a couple of things to keep in mind.

– Make sure you choose a location that is near to or reasonably accessible from the house. The area should either be flat with some digging to keep things level.
– Design the patio so that it fits with the shape of the garden. Naturally it will be easier to put together a square or rectangular patio than one that is circular.
– You will need to remove some earth to ensure there is sufficient depth to hold the bricks in place with three inches of sand underneath.
